Peppermint Patty Brownie Recipe
The peppermint patty brownie recipe has a great rich taste. A chocolate brownie with peppermint patties hidden inside!
Ingredients
Brownie:
1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, melted
3 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
10 bite-sized chocolate-covered peppermint patties, quartered
Chocolate Glaze:
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
1 tablespoon corn syrup
Hardware
2-quart saucepan
1-quart saucepan
8x8-inch baking pan
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Lightly grease the bottom of 8x8-inch baking pan; set aside.
Step 3: In a 2-quart saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and baking chocolate until creamy and smooth.
Step 4: Stir in sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla extract, and baking soda until well mixed.
Step 5: Spread 1 cup of batter into prepared 8x8-inch baking pan.
Step 6: Place patties on top of batter in pan.
Step 7: Gently spread remaining batter over patties to completely cover.
Step 8: Bake 25-27 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely.
Chocolate Glaze:
Step 1: In a 1-quart saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and chocolate chips until creamy and smooth.
Step 2: Stir in corn syrup. Let stand for 10 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken.
Step 3: Spread over cooled brownies. Cover and refrigerate.
Makes 24 brownies.
