Oatmeal Raisin Jar Mix Cookie Recipe
The oatmeal raisin jar mix cookie recipe will be a great, easy to bake gift, for someone who loves oatmeal cookies.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup raisins
2 cups rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Hardware
1-quart mason jar
Funnel (optional)
Paper for tag
Step 1: Mix together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
Step 2: In a 1 quart Mason jar, layer the ingredients in order listed starting with flour mixture. Pack down firmly after each addition.
Step 3: Attach tag with the following instructions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Step 3: In a large bowl, cream 3/4 cup softened butter until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Mix in 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Step 4: Add entire contents of jar, and stir until well combined. Use your hand if needed.
Step 5: Shape into walnut sized balls and place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheet.
Step 6: Bake 11-13 minutes, or until light brown around edges.
Step 7: Cool on sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Makes 20 cookies.
