No Bake Peanut Butter Bars Recipe
The no bake peanut butter bars recipe is a different take on the tasty peanut butter cup candies!
Ingredients
2 cups crushed graham crackers
2 cups powdered sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon shortening
Hardware
Large bowl
Small microwave safe bowl
Large saucepan
13x9x1-inch baking pan
Step 1: In a large bowl, stir together crushed graham crackers and powdered sugar; set aside.
Step 2: In a large saucepan, melt butter, and peanut butter. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Stir in graham cracker mixture.
Step 4: Pat mixture into the bottom of a 13x9x1-inch baking pan.
Step 5: In a small microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of shortening. Microwave on medium-high setting until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Step 6: Spread chocolate over top of crumb mixture. Refrigerate before cutting into bars.
Makes about 20 bars.
