Low Cholesterol Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
This low cholesterol chocolate chip cookie recipe is great tasting and healthy at the same time. A hard to beat combination!
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup margarine
3 large eeg whites
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips about 2 cups)

Step 1: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, blend sugars with an electric mixer.
Step 4: Add margarine, and mix to grainy paste.
Step 5: In a small bowl, beat egg whites until fluffy.
Step 6: Add egg whites, honey, and vanilla extract to sugar mixture and beat until smooth.
Step 7: Gradually add flour mixture and chocolate chips, scraping down sides until just combined.
Step 8: Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets1 1/2 inches apart.
Step 9: Bake 15-18 minutes, or until lightly browned. Immediately transfer cookies to cooling surface.
Makes about 36 cookies.
