Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe

The double chocolate peanut butter cookie recipe is rich in flavor, looks great, and best of all its not difficult to make!

Ingredients
1 package (19.5 oz) fudge brownie mix
1/4 cup buttered flavored shortening (regular flavored will work too), melted
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 can chocolate fudge frosting

Hardware
Large bowl
Small microwave safe bowl
Small bowl
Cookie sheets
Wooden spoon
Mixer

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a small microwave safe bowl, using a microwave set at medium-high melt shortening into liquid; set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl, with an electric mixer cream cheese until fluffy.
Step 4: Add melted shortening and mix until creamy.
Step 5: Add egg and mix well.
Step 6: Pour in 1 package fudge brownie mix, stir with wooden spoon until mixed; set aside.
Step 7: In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
Step 8: With hands, make 24 1/2-inch size balls from peanut butter mixture.
Step 9: Form 24 1-inch size balls from brownie mixture and place on ungreased cookie sheet 2-inches apart.
Step 10: With your thumb, make an indention in each cookie.
Step 11: Place a peanut butter ball inside each indention, and flatten slightly.
Step 12: Bake for 10-14 minutes or until sides are set. Let cookies set for 1 minute and then transfer to cooling surface.
Step 13: When cookies are completely cool, spread a dollop frosting over peanut butter center.
