Creme de Menthe Brownie Recipe
This creme de menthe brownie recipe is rich in both chocolate and mint flavor! If you want to break away from the tradition brownie recipe, this one will turn heads.
Ingredients
Bottom Layer:
Chocolate brownie mix (for 13x9-inch pan)
1/2 cup Andes thin mints, chopped into chunks (optional)
Middle Layer:
6 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
5 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons creme de menthe
Top Layer:
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) butter, melted
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Hardware
Large bowl
Medium bowl
13x9-inch baking pan
Microwave safe bowl
Mixer
Bottom Layer:
Step 1: Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, adding chopped Andes mints if so desired. Bake and cool completely.
Middle Layer:
Step 1: In a microwave safe bowl, melt 6 tablespoons of butter; set aside.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, with an electric mixer beat milk and pudding mix.
Step 3: Pour butter into pudding mixture, beat well.
Step 4: Blend in powdered sugar, beat until fluffy.
Step 5: Stir in creme de menthe.
Step 6: Spread on cooled brownie layer. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Top Layer:
Step 1: In microwave safe bowl, combine 1/4 stick of butter and chocolate chips.
Step 2: Heat in microwave until melted, pour over the top of middle layer.
Step 3: Chill for 10 minutes and then score chocolate into squares, return to refrigerator and cool for 1 hour.
Makes 24 brownies.
