Churros Recipe
The Churros recipe is a great deep fried treat! They originated in Spain, and then found their way to Mexico and Argentina.
Ingredients
1 egg
3 tablespoons salted butter, melted and cooled slightly
1/2 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose baking mix (biscuit mix)
Vegetable oil for frying

2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Hardware
Whisk
Large bowl
Small bowl
10-inch skillet
Piping bag or cake decorator with star tip
Step 1: Pour oil into a 10-inch skillet to the depth of 1 inch. Heat oil to 350 degrees F. (medium-medium/high).
Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, melted butter, milk, and baking mix until smooth.
Step 3: Pour batter into a piping bag with a star tip.
Step 4: In a small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon.
Step 5: When oil is hot enough, pipe dough lines about 8-inches long, a few at a time, and fry for about 30 seconds on each side, or until just golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Step 6: While still hot sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Serve warm.
Makes about 20 Churros.
